Privacy Policy
Last Edited: 05/02/2026
This Privacy Policy explains how ConMae Kelley Holdings, LLC ("we," "us," "our") handles information when you visit BrianKelleyMD.com (the "Site"). The Site is a personal professional website operated by Brian P. Kelley, MD for educational, brand, and marketing purposes. It is not owned by Ascension or any other healthcare system.
This Privacy Policy applies only to the Site. It does not govern any clinical care you may receive from Dr. Kelley or any healthcare entity. Information you share with Dr. Kelley as part of clinical care is protected health information (PHI) under HIPAA and is governed by the Notice of Privacy Practices of the entity providing your care, not by this policy.
What This Site Does and Does Not Do
The Site publishes educational articles, illustrations, photographs, and videos about reconstructive surgery topics. The Site does not include any of the following:
- A contact form, appointment request form, or booking system
- A patient portal or login
- A messaging feature or chat
- An online payment system
- Any feature that collects information you actively submit
The only practice contact information published on the Site is the address and telephone number of the clinical practice. The Site does not collect, monitor, or respond to email correspondence.
Information We Collect
Although the Site does not have forms, it still collects some information automatically when you visit, the same way most websites do.
Automatically Collected Technical Information
When your browser loads pages on the Site, our hosting platform automatically receives and logs certain information, including:
- Your IP address (or a portion of it, depending on configuration)
- The type of device, browser, and operating system you are using
- The pages you visit on the Site and the time you visit them
- The website that referred you to the Site (if any)
- Approximate geographic location based on your IP address
This information is used to operate the Site, monitor for security and performance, and understand which content is most useful to readers.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
The Site uses cookies — small text files stored by your browser — and similar technologies to recognize repeat visitors, remember preferences, and support analytics. Cookies fall into two general categories on this Site:
- Strictly necessary cookies that are required for the Site to function (for example, a cookie that remembers whether you have dismissed the cookie banner).
- Analytics cookies set by third-party analytics services to help us understand how the Site is used in aggregate.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect Site functionality.
Analytics
The Site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the Site. Google Analytics collects information such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, what device you use, and approximate location. Google Analytics provides this information to us in aggregate and anonymized form. We use IP anonymization where available.
Google's handling of analytics data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy, available at https://policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-On at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
[VERIFY: If the Site uses an analytics service other than Google
What We Do Not Collect
Because the Site has no form, account, or messaging feature, the Site does not collect:
- Your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, or other contact information
- Health information, medical history, photographs, or any other protected health information
- Insurance information, payment information, or financial data
- Account credentials or login information
If you contact the clinical practice by telephone, the practice may collect information from you as part of providing or coordinating clinical care. That information is handled under the policies of the clinical practice and applicable healthcare privacy law (HIPAA), not under this Privacy Policy.
How We Use Information
We use the limited information collected automatically through the Site to:
- Operate, maintain, and secure the Site
- Understand which content is useful to readers and inform editorial decisions
- Detect and prevent unauthorized access, abuse, or technical problems
- Comply with applicable law
We do not sell information collected through the Site. We do not share information collected through the Site with advertisers or data brokers.
How We Share Information
We share information with a limited set of service providers necessary to operate the Site, including:
- Hosting provider: Webflow.com processes server logs and traffic data to deliver the Site to your browser.
- Analytics provider: Google Analytics 4 receives traffic and behavior data as described above.
- Domain and DNS provider: GoDaddy.com handles DNS resolution and may log basic request data.
We may also disclose information when required by law, in response to a valid subpoena or court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of any person.
Data Retention
We retain server logs and analytics data only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law. Google Analytics data retention is configured to 2 months by default, after which user-level data is automatically deleted.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have specific rights regarding personal information.
Texas Residents
The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA), effective July 1, 2024, gives Texas residents certain rights regarding personal data, including the right to confirm whether we process personal data about you, to access that data, to correct inaccuracies, to delete data, to obtain a portable copy, and to opt out of certain processing for targeted advertising or sale. The Site does not sell personal data and does not engage in targeted advertising as defined by the TDPSA.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information in the Contact section below.
California Residents
The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended, gives California residents the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion of personal information, to correct inaccurate personal information, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not sell personal information collected through the Site.
Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and Other State Residents
Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws — including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and Utah — have rights similar to those described above. The specific rights and procedures vary by state. If you are a resident of one of these states and wish to exercise your rights, please contact us using the information in the Contact section.
European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Other International Visitors
The Site is directed at visitors in the United States. We do not market the Site to residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions outside the United States. If you choose to access the Site from outside the United States, you do so at your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local law. Information collected through the Site may be processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.
Children
The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Educational content on the Site that discusses pediatric surgery is intended for parents, caregivers, and adult readers, not for children themselves. If you believe a child has provided information through the Site, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.
Security
We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information collected through the Site against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No system, however, is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted over the internet.
Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. There is no industry consensus on how to interpret DNT signals, and the Site does not currently respond to them. We respect any cookie preferences you set through the Site's cookie banner (if applicable) and through your browser settings.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be flagged at the top of this page where reasonable. Continued use of the Site after a revision constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
